About the Directory
An independent desk
for resume tools.
Resume Tool Hub is a directory and review project covering the software people use to build, optimize and send out a resume. We organize those tools into clear categories and describe what each one is for — so you can find something that fits and get back to the job search.
What this site is for
The market for resume software is crowded and moves quickly. New builders, optimizers and application trackers appear constantly, each with its own pricing page and its own claims. This directory exists to file that landscape into categories a reader can actually navigate.
We are not a tool ourselves and we do not host your documents. Our work is editorial: we group tools, explain the category each one belongs to, and note the things worth checking before you commit time or money to any of them.
How we evaluate a tool
Every tool is read against the same working criteria. These are deliberately general — they describe what matters across the category rather than any one product's marketing.
- 01 ATS Compatibility Whether a tool produces documents that parse cleanly through applicant-tracking systems, without layout tricks that break machine reading.
- 02 Templates & Structure The range and quality of layouts on offer, and how much control you keep over sections, ordering and formatting.
- 03 Export & Portability The formats a tool lets you download, and whether your finished document is genuinely yours to take elsewhere.
- 04 Pricing & Terms How plans are structured, what sits behind a paywall, and how clearly recurring charges and trials are disclosed.
Independent
Placement in a category is never sold. Ranking and grouping follow the criteria, not the commission.
Generic
We describe what a category of tool does, not invented benchmarks. No manufactured scores or awards.
Revisable
Entries are updated as tools change features and pricing. The directory is meant to be corrected.
Editorial independence
The order in which tools appear, and the categories they sit under, are decided by us and no one else. A company cannot buy a higher position, a better description or a place it would not otherwise earn. When our view of a tool changes, the entry changes with it.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up for or buy a product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That arrangement helps fund the work of maintaining the directory.
It does not change how we group or describe a tool. We include and rank tools on their merits, and an affiliate relationship is never a condition for appearing here — nor does its absence keep a tool out.
